Apple is working on a new chat app called Messages, the company announced today.
Users can connect with others in the app, which is a continuation of Apple’s existing Chat app for iOS and OS X, the WSJ reports.
Messages will be free to use, and it’s slated to launch in the coming months.
It’s a continuation for Apple’s chat app, Apple Messages, which launched last year as a way for users to send and receive messages on the iPhone and iPad.
The new app features a new feature that will allow users to type in text and voice commands and see the results of those actions in a “messages feed.”
Messages is a new app that was launched to bring more users in touch with friends, but it’s not clear if it will also be used for personal communications, the Journal reports.
